2.1 Content and teaching strategies of the teaching areaI met this standard by using the content in the curriculum. I referred back to AusVELS through all my classes in junior 7, 8 and 10 and VCAA for year 11. I also checked with my mentor in regards to unit planning and individual lesson plans. I ran a unit on Energy for Year 8 Science. This unit involved a mixture of ICT, worksheets, textbook questions and educational games with two assessment which was an oral presentation and a topic test. I had to modify my lesson based on Kahoot results, reaction to the topic and energy levels. Most of my lessons begin with an ICT component (Kahoot) and big idea questions followed by an group discussion or experiment. I also use Youtube clip, worksheets and textbook questions instead of big idea question depending on the enthusiasm level on the day. I often refer back to the school's online curriculum and textbook for most of my new contents while using TES Australia and the textbook for experiment and new activities.

Above is an example of results from a Kahoot, most student were unable to answer questions 6 and 10, I modify my lesson to repeat that content with examples and possible test question.

2.6 Information and Communication Technology (ICT)This was achieved by using Kahoot, online textbook study question and YouTube clips. The Year 8's were able to see the transfer and transformation of energy in SlowMo Youtube clips, while revision on content covered in class and prior knowledge using Kahoot and online textbook study questions.
